BLIZZARD CLUB

for Skating School Students

                                                                                                                                                                          

All skating school students are invited to join Blizzard Club which meets Wednesday from 5:15pm till 6:00pm.  To join, yearly dues are $50.  This fee entitles you to skate in our Blizzard Club each week as long as you remain an active student enrolled in any 30-minute on-ice class in our skating school

Club sessions might be used for test sessions, competitions, exhibitions, open houses, parties, seminars, holiday shows and rehearsals.  You must be a current member of USFS Basic Skills to belong to our Club.  Please contact Natasha Smith for a USFS Basic Skills membership application. 

Membership benefits include:

  • Club Ice time every Wednesday from 5:15pm till 6:00pm (excluding holidays and/or competitions)
  • USFS Sport Accident Insurance
  • Official Basic Skills member and year patches

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

FOR FREESTYLE PAYMENTS

  • Please purchase your freestyle sticker at the Kiosk prior to getting on the ice.
  • Skaters may purchase more than one freestyle session at a time.
  • Please write your name on the sticker and put it in the book for the freestyle session you will skate.
  • Sessions will NOT be prorated.  You cannot purchase a portion of a session. 
  • All freestyle sessions are 30minutes in length.
  • $5.00 - Walk-on rate per 30-minute session.
  • $4.00 - Polar Ice Learn to Skate students per 30-minute session.
  • We offer ICE PAK sales - purchase 10 stickers and receive the 11th one FREE.
  • No combined discounts.

SKATERS CONDUCT

  • Be courteous to others. 
  • Look out for each other and give the "right-of-way."
  • 1st right of way skater in his/her private lesson and in program.
  • 2nd right of way skater in his/her private lesson.
  • 3rd right of way skater in his/her program.
  • Please do not kick the ice at any time.
  • Put your music in line for playing and keep a rotation going.  Coaches will have priority when in a lesson, twicw every 30 minutes.
  • Do not congregate in groups on the ice at anytime.
  • No gum on ice at any time.
  • No outside food is allowed on boards or on ice at any time.
  • Water bottles must stay on boards - not on ice at any time.
  • Rental skates are not allowed on freestyle sessions.
  • Jeans are not allowed.  Athletic wear is suggested.
  • Please help keep our facility looking new and clean by picking up after yourself.
